Clarke Announces Mayoral Run

Former Cape Breton Regional Mayor Cecil Clarke is running for mayor again.

Clarke made the announcement at the Horizon Achievement Centre in Sydney this afternoon.

Today’s event comes two weeks after Mayor Amanda McDougall-Merrill announced she’s not re-offering for a second term.

Clarke served two terms as mayor before losing to McDougall-Merrill in the 2020 election.
