Liberal leader Zach Churchill announced this morning a Liberal government would partner with the Halifax Dartmouth Bridge Commission to replace the aging MacKay Bridge.
Churchill says a new, six lane bridge with active transportation infrastructure and dedicated lanes for rapid transit will make daily commutes faster and more reliable in the Halifax area.
Churchill also repeated a promise to make public transit free throughout the province.
He says a Liberal government would reduce the province’s current immigration levels until there’s necessary infrastructure to accommodate that growth.
He says the Liberals would also promote flexible work arrangements, getting more Nova Scotians off he road during peak congestion time.
