Church Fire Under Investigation

Regional Police and investigators with the Fire Marshall’s Office are on the scene today of a fire that destroyed St. John’s Anglican Church in Point Edward.

Police say they got the call to the fire at around 1:20 yesterday morning.

They add the church hasn’t been used for about 10 years.

They go on to day the fire has been deemed suspicious because there was no power running to the building.

Security was placed at the scene overnight and police are asking anyone with information on the fire to call them or Crime Stoppers.
