An Eskasoni woman who was the subject of a three-month search before being found in the southern U-S is now behind bars. 24 year-old Chrisma Joy Denny is charged with theft, failing to attend court, and two counts of breaching court orders. The offences are said to have occurred in Sydney and Eskasoni between February and September of last year. Denny made a brief court appearance Friday and is scheduled to return to court tomorrow for a bail hearing. Denny was reported missing on September 21st. She was found living in a women’s shelter in Knoxville, Tennessee last month and returned to Cape Breton.
