Chase The Ace Dispute Settled

A settlement has been reached in the dispute over the $1.2 million Chase the Ace Jackpot in Margaree.

Tyrone MacInnis from Glace Bay won the prize in July with his aunt, Barbara Reddick from Guysborough.

However, Reddick said she never intended to split the prize with her nephew and sued MacInnis for his half of the winnings.

The settlement will see MacInnis get $350,000.

The agreement comes after a five-hour mediation hearing today.

Lawyers say the settlement is mutual and both sides are satisfied.
