Charges Laid In North Sydney Robbery

A Membertou man appeared in Sydney Provincial Court today to face 8 charges in connection with an armed robbery at a gas station in North Sydney over the weekend.

28 year-old Kenneth Cardian Marsh is charged with Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm, as well as five counts of breaching probation.

Regional Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Circle K Irving on Commercial Street in North Sydney at about 11:25 on Saturday night, when a man entered the store armed with a weapon, demanded money from the clerk, and fled the scene.

No one was injured during the incident.

Marsh has been remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre and is due to make another court appearance on September 8th.
