Charges Laid In Infant Death

A Glace Bay man has been charged after the death of a four-month old baby in that community in October.

43-year-old Jason Wayne Comer is facing charges of Criminal Negligence Causing Death and Failing to Provide the Necessities of Life.

Regional Police say they got a call to a home on Cottage Street on October 9th when paramedics were treating a baby boy in distress.

The boy was brought to Glace Bay Hospital where he later died.

Comer is due in court in Sydney on January 29th.
