Charges Laid After Cheticamp Fire

RCMP say an Inverness man has been charged after an arson in Cheticamp on Friday.

They say they got a call shortly before 10:00 Friday night about a boat on fire at a business in the community.

46 year-old Blaze Anthony Basker appeared in court today on charges of arson and breaching court conditions.

He’s been released on conditions and is due back in court in Port Hawkesbury on January 19th.

Police say no one was injured in the fire and their investigation continues.
