Chamber Of Commerce Names New CEO

The Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce has appointed a new CEO.

Megan Penney has served as the chamber’s Member Relations Coordinator for the past year.

Penney holds a Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development as well as Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts Community Studies degrees from Cape Breton University.

The chamber’s CEO position was previously held by Jenna Lahey, who served for about two years before resigning in February and going on to take a job with the provincial government.

Bobby Nock

Bobby grew up in Whycocomagh before moving to Halifax to attend university where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Journalism degree. After university, Bobby moved back to Cape Breton where he began working as a freelance journalist and has done work for both print media and as a broadcast journalist.
