Centre for Craft & Design Fundraiser

The Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design has set up an online fundraiser to bring craft education programming to communities around the Island.

The Centre says Crafting Community will provide consistent craft programming in communities such as Ingonish, St. Peter’s, Port Hawkesbury and Louisbourg as well as We’koqma’q, Chéticamp, Eskasoni, and Scotsville.

It says Crafting Community will have a library of specialized equipment for use in craft education.

However, it says it needs $30,000 to buy the equipment and tools to launch the program.

People can donate by visiting canadahelps.org and searching for the Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design.
