Centre 200 To Host NHL Game

Hockey fans will have a chance to see live NHL action in Sydney this fall.

The league’s players’ association announced today the Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers will be playing a pre-season game at Centre 200 on October 1st.

The teams are coming to Sydney after the Cape Breton Blizzard Female Hockey Association won the national Kraft Hockeyville contest last year.

The win comes with the opportunity to host an NHL pre-season game, along with $250,000 that’s being used to help fund upgrades to the Canada Games Complex at Cape Breton University.
