CBU Students’ Union Helping International Students Book COVID-19 Vaccination Appointments

The Students’ Union at Cape Breton University is going to help international students book COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

Students’ Union president Madlyn O’Brien says thousands of students have been forced to try and book an appointment by phone because they don’t have MSI cards.

She says the often more than hour-long wait times by phone and student phone plans with limited minutes makes this difficult for international students.

As a result, the Students’ Union has launched the Vaccine Booking Assistance Program where international students can fill in their information in a secure virtual form.

Students’ Union representatives will then call to book their appointments for them.
