CBU Faculty Association Files For Conciliation

The Faculty Association at Cape Breton University has filed for conciliation after it says a month of contract negotiations failed to bring any progress.

Last week, association members voted 111-12 in favour of calling a strike to back their contract demands.

The Association represents 145 members.

Meanwhile, CBU president David Wheeler says he believes a contract settlement is not far away but will not give details.
