Conciliation talks between Cape Breton University and its Faculty Association are due to resume tomorrow afternoon.
The latest round of negotiations comes after the union issued a strike notice when talks broke off earlier this month.
The Faculty Association says it will call for a strike to begin on Monday if a deal isn’t reached by Saturday.
The association has been in a legal strike position since December 26th and a strike or lockout can happen with 48 hours notice.
The main issue in the contract dispute is a so-called layoff clause.
