The Cape Breton University board of governors is due to vote on a tentative agreement with its faculty when it meets today.
The meeting is due to start with an in-camera session at 9:00 this morning and then be open to the public, afterward.
An official with the faculty association says its members remain hopeful the board will vote to ratify the agreement.
The suspension of CBU president David Wheeler over governance issues is also on the agenda at today’s meeting.
The University hasn’t said much more about the suspension but Wheeler’s lawyer says it’s related to his client’s role during contract negotiations with the Faculty Association.
