by The Regional Municipality announced the appointment of a new Fire Chief today.
It says veteran firefighter Mark Bettens has over 35 years of experience in emergency services and public service leadership.
Bettens also served as an Executive Assistant in the Mayor’s Office under former Mayor Cecil Clarke.
He starts his new role on Monday.
The appointment comes after Michael Seth resigned from the role in September.
