CB Unemployment Rate Down In July

The latest numbers from Stats Canada show Cape Breton’s unemployment rate stood at 12.1 per cent, last month.

That’s a six-tenths of a percentage point drop from July of last year and 1.4 percentage points lower than in June.

The provincial unemployment rate went down two tenths of percentage point to 6.4 percent.

Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate in July went up by two tenths of a percentage point to 5.7 percent.
