CB Unemployment Rate 12.1 Percent In February

Statistics Canada says the national unemployment rate for February was 5.8 percent.

That’s an increase of a tenth of a percentage point from January.

Meanwhile, Cape Breton’s unemployment rate was 12.1 percent, last month.

That compares with a jobless rate of 13.3 percent in January and 10.4 percent in February of last year.

Nova Scotia’s unemployment rate for February was unchanged from January at 6.4 percent.
