CB Tories Affected By Shadow Cabinet Shuffle

New Progressive Conservative leader Tim Houston has announced new critic responsibilities for his MLA’s.

Cape Breton Tory MLA’s Keith Bain, Alfie MacLeod and Eddie Orrell supported Regional Mayor Cecil Clarke in his unsuccessful bid to become the party’s new leader.

Bain loses his job as caucus chair under Houston and but becomes deputy caucus chair and the critic for Fisheries and Aquaculture and Labour Relations. 

Northside-Westmount MLA Eddie Orrell loses his job as P-C whip to Kim Masland.

Orrell becomes the critic for the Department of Labour and Advanced Education and the new Chair of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts.

Sydney River-Mira-Louisbourg MLA, Alfie MacLeod becomes the critic for the Department of Community Services, Aboriginal Affairs and Military relations.
