Stats Canada says Cape Breton’s unemployment rate was 13.9 per cent in September.
That’s a drop of 2 percentage points from August.
But it’s an increase of 1.2 percentage points compared to September of last year.
Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate was nine per cent, last month.
That’s a drop of 1.2 percentage points compared to August.
The federal agency says the country added 378-thousand jobs in September.
