CB Healthcare Redevelopment In Province’s Capital Plan

Finance Minister Karen Casey announced the province’s 2019-20 Capital Plan, this morning.

The Plan sets aside nearly 157 million dollars for healthcare redevelopment.

That includes the project to close the hospitals in North Sydney and New Waterford and replace them with community health centres that don’t have emergency departments.

Casey says the money will be used for planning and design.

She says the province will spend a total of 691 million dollars on capital projects in the next fiscal year.
