CB Cancer Centre Construction To Start Tomorrow

The province will mark what it’s calling a milestone in the Regional Municipality’s Healthcare Redevelopment Project tomorrow.

Sydney River-Mira-Louisbourg MLA and Minister of Communications Nova Scotia Brian Comer will mark the start of construction for the new Cape Breton Cancer Centre.

The project at the Regional Hospital in Sydney also includes a larger emergency department and critical care department.

New community health centres and long-term care homes in New Waterford and North Sydney and renovations at the Glace Bay Hospital are also part of the project.

Tomorrow morning’s event gets underway at 10:00 at the Regional Hospital.
