Hearing Postponed Again For Accused Former Nurse
A court hearing has been adjourned again for a former nurse facing a charge of forgery after the death of a man on the grounds of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
48 year-old Valerie MacGillivray was scheduled to have a trial date set today, but the hearing has been postponed until a week from today.
The hearing was also postponed during a court appearance last month.
41 year-old Tammy Carrigan-Warner from Sydney River has also been charged with forgery in the case and is due back in court later this month.
Both have been fired from their jobs.
The 79 year-old man was a patient at the hospital and was found unconscious on the sidewalk outside the building in February of last year.
Police say documents on the man’s status at the hospital were forged.
