Caribou Marsh Man Arrested On Drug Charges

A man from the Regional Municipality was arrested in Inverness County this morning after police say they found 160 grams of cocaine during a traffic stop.

RCMP say the traffic stop took place on Highway 105 in Aberdeen at 6:20 this morning.

The 44 year-old from Caribou Marsh was arrested on a charge of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine, but has since been released.

He’s due in court in Port Hawkesbury on December 18th.

Police say their investigation continues.

His foray into radio began with a research position at The Coast, which led to the production of a radio documentary on the music of the Mi’kmaq people. He has worked as a teaching assistant at Dalhousie, and in various short-term customer service and research positions.
