Cape Bretoners Take Home Six ECMA’s

Cape Bretoners picked up a total of six East Coast Music Awards as the 36th Awards wrapped up in Charlottetown, yesterday.

Morgan Toney is coming home with two ECMA’s.

Toney won the awards for INDIGENOUS ARTIST OF THE YEAR and ROOTS/TRADITIONAL RECORDING OF THE YEAR.

FANS’ CHOICE VIDEO OF THE YEAR went to 2nd Generation.

Jamie Foulds won the ECMA for AUDIO ENGINEER OF THE YEAR.

The late Bruce Guthro was awarded the DIRECTOR’S SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD and Stephen Muise won the Stompin’ Tom Award for Cape Breton.
