Cape Bretoners Mark Remembrance Day

People across Cape Breton will take time to pause and reflect on this Remembrance Day as ceremonies are held in a number of communities.

The Branch 12 Legion is hosting this year’s services in Sydney.

The day started with a service at 8:30 this morning at the Veterans Memorial Cenotaph at Ashby corner.

The Remembrance Day program gets underway at 10:45 this morning at Centre 200.

Elsewhere in the Regional Municipality, services will be held in Glace Bay, Donkin, New Waterford, Dominion, Port Morien, North Sydney, Florence and Sydney Mines.

There are also a number of services in communities in Victoria, Inverness and Richmond Counties.
