Stats Canada say Cape Breton’s unemployment rate was 10.3 percent in January.
That compares with a December jobless rate of 10.4 percent and an unemployment rate of 13.9 percent in January of last year.
Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate held steady at 5 percent, last month.
The federal agency says the country added 150,000 jobs in January.
Nova Scotia’s unemployment rate for January was down from 6 percent in December to 5.6 percent.
