Cape Breton Environmental Conservation Meeting

A Glace Bay man is hosting a public meeting tonight in an effort to clean up illegal dump sites in the area.

Dylan Yates started the Facebook page Cape Breton Environmental Conservation in June.

He says the goal was to create a place where people can post photos and locations of illegal dump sites and also work together to tackle the problem.

The Facebook group now has more than 250 members and Yates has organized five cleanup projects.

The meeting is scheduled for 7:00 at the Tower Road Fire Hall on Birch Grove Road.
