Cancer Centre Gets Big Donation & New Name

The new Cancer Centre at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital is getting a new name thanks to a big donation to the facility.

The centre will be known as the Kyle Anne MacDonald Cancer Centre after MacDonald donated 2 million dollars to it.

The Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation says MacDonald’s donation is the biggest gift ever for cancer care in its 39-year history.

MacDonald says her donation is inspired by her late mother, Mary Ann MacDonald and her aunt Margaret Ann who she says were proud daughters of Cape Breton.

Kyle Anne MacDonald is an entrepreneur based out of Ontario, who’s built, led, and sold global corporations.
