Cancellations And Delayed Openings Because Of Storm

School is cancelled today for all students and employees in the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education because of the winter storm.

Classes are also cancelled today at Etoile de l’Acadie in Sydney, Cape Breton University and the Marconi Campus of the community college.

Transit Cape Breton operations are suspended because of the storm.

Provincial government offices in Cape Breton are delaying opening until 10:00 this morning.

Meanwhile, police are asking people to avoid unnecessary travel, today.

Police say people who park on the street or side of the road during the storm risk having their vehicles towed.
