Canada-Wide Warrant Issued For Glace Bay Man

Regional Police have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for 39-year-old Thomas Gerard Rogers, from Glace Bay, in connection to an Armed Robbery in March.

Rogers faces charges of Robbery, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm, and Intent to Commit an Offence While Wearing a Disguise.

Police say they responded to the Glace Bay Deli on Union Street in Glace Bay on the evening of March 12th after receiving a report that an Armed Robbery occurred.

Rogers is described as 5’9” tall and 150 pounds, with light hair and blue eyes.

Police say he’s known to be violent and could be dangerous.

Anyone with information on Rogers’ whereabouts is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.

His foray into radio began with a research position at The Coast, which led to the production of a radio documentary on the music of the Mi’kmaq people.
