Canada Day Stabbing in North Sydney

Regional Police say they’re still investigating after a 37 year-old man was stabbed at a Canada Day event in North Sydney.

Police add they got called to the Emera Centre shortly after 11:00 on Saturday night.

They go on to say several people were arrested after a disturbance inside the main tent on the property.

Police also say a man was taken to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries and later released.

Police say the people involved in the disturbance and stabbing know each other.
