Boy, 14, Charged After Sydney Robbery

Regional Police say a 14-year-old boy has been charged after a robbery at a store in Sydney yesterday.

They say officers got a call at about 11:00 yesterday morning to a store on Terrace Street, where the clerk says someone with a knife demanded money from his cash register and ran down a trail toward Acadia Drive.

Police say they tracked down a person matching a description of the teen at a home on Ranna Drive and they add the teen was carrying a bag of cash at the time.

The boy was arrested and later released ahead of an appearance in Sydney Court on February 16th.

He’s facing charges of Robbery and Possession of a Weapon.
