Body of Missing Eskasoni Man Found

Eskasoni RCMP say the body of a man from the community who was reported missing in December has been found.

They add they got a call from someone in Eskasoni who said they discovered the remains of Camillius Alex near Mountain Rd. in Eskasoni.

The 79 year-old was reported missing on December 15th.

Ground Search and Rescue volunteers from all over the province, along with other volunteers, a helicopter and police dogs searched for Alex over five days after he was reported missing.

Police called the search off after they said dense brush and a significant amount of snow hampered the effort.
