Big Jump Predicted For Gas Prices, This Week

One analyst is predicting a big jump in the price of gas, this week.

An increase of about 5 cents a litre is being forecast.

A shut down of 25 percent of U.S. gasoline production because of Hurricane Harvey is being blamed for the increase.

Meanwhile, the price of gas in New Brunswick rose by 2.5 cents, last night.

Diesel there jumped by 1.4 cents a litre.

The minimum price for a litre or regular gas in Cape Breton is now $1.07.9.

Diesel now goes for a minimum of 99.1 cents a litre on the Island.
