Better Turnout For This Year’s Two Rivers Fundraiser

Officials with Two Rivers Wildlife Park in Mira say, unlike last year, the weather for their 13th annual Fright Night was good.

The event is the biggest fundraiser for the Park but chilly weather in 2014 kept people away.

The situation led the province and the Regional Municipality to each offer 20,000 dollar loans to the Park when its operators said that they couldn’t meet payroll, last winter.

This year’s Fright Night festivities wrapped up yesterday and the Park’s events co-ordinator Lindsay Robinson says they were pleased to see an average of 1,000 people a day during the five-day event.

The final tally for this year’s Fright Night is not yet available.
