Bailey Promises Vocational Training For Province’s Schools

Although no general election has been called, provincial Progressive Conservative leader Jamie made a campaign style announcement in Dartmouth, this morning.

Bailey pledged to begin the consultation process to put vocational training back in the province’s public schools within 100 days of taking office.

He says a renewed focus on vocational training in schools is key to making sure the local economy is ready to support other PC commitments that include rebuilding the film industry and growing natural resource industries.

Baillie adds today’s announcement is the first plank of his party’s long-term plan for the province’s economy.

Baillie is also promising more announcements in the coming weeks and months.
