A 13 year old Sydney boy charged with stabbing a taxi driver in Sydney on the weekend is due back in court today for a bail hearing.
The boy can’t be named because of his age.
He faces counts of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon (a beer bottle) and two breaches of probation.
Regional Police say officers spotted the driver yelling for help from his cab that was stopped on Bentinck Street, shortly after 3:30 on Saturday morning.
They say the 65 year-old was bleeding from several stab wounds.
He was taken to the Regional Hospital, treated and released.
Police arrested the 13 year-old boy who was a passenger in the cab.
He was taken to hospital for treatment of what police describe as a minor injury.
