Bail Hearing Adjourned For Woman Accused of Murder

A bail hearing was adjourned today for a 31 year-old woman who faces a second-degree murder charge in the death of a Sydney man nearly two years ago.

Mallory Ann Paul from Millbrook has been charged in the death of 80 year-old Douglas MacLeod Barrett.

His body was found in his home on Terrace Street on March 22nd of 2019.

Regional Police say Paul was arrested at the Central Nova Correctional Centre in Truro where she was scheduled to be released last Wednesday.

She’s now on remand ahead of a bail hearing on March 22nd.
