Bail Denied For Attempted Murder Accused

One of two Eskasoni men facing a charge of attempted murder was denied bail today.

42-year-old Justin Noelan Dennis also faces counts of Dangerous Operation of a Vehicle, Uttering Threats and Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon after police were called about an assault on Castle Bay Road on August 2^nd.

Police say a 45-year-old man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the attack.

RCMP say Dennis was arrested in New Brunswick on Tuesday of last week.

29-year-old Alfred Joseph Marshall is facing the same charges as Dennis but has decided not to seek bail.

Both men’s cases are now due back in court on September 5^th.
