Baddeck Man Charged With Stunting In Sydney Area

An 18 year-old Baddeck man has been charged with stunting after RCMP say they clocked his car at over 200 kilometres an hour on the 125 Sydney Bypass on Monday night.

They say the car was doing 210 in the westbound lane but officers weren’t able to pull it over.

A short time later, it was clocked at 187 in the eastbound lanes of the highway.

The driver was stopped and fined and had his licence and car seized for seven days.

The stunting charge carries a fine of over $2,400 for a first offence.
