by Provinical Immigration Minister Lena Diab says a family doctor who’s coming through a new immigration stream for doctors will be setting up practice in Baddeck this spring.
The doctor now lives in Virginia and was the first to be processed through the new stream for internationally trained doctors.
Two other family doctors from Ireland and England have also been approved and plan to start work in Halifax this spring.
The new Physician Stream was launched last month.
The program is designed to make the immigration process easier and faster for doctors who already have approved job offers from the provincial Health Authority.
