Baby formula recalled due to Chronobacter contamination

Costco is pulling some of its Kirkland Signature-branded powdered baby formula from store shelves due to possible Chronobacter contamination.

The recall comes after the Canada Food Inspection Agency began an investigation into tainted President’s Choice Lower Iron milk-based formula two weeks ago.

The recall applies to the Non-GMO Infant Formula for Babies Sensitive to Lactose, in either the 1.36-kilogram container or the 2-pack.  The affected formula bears an expiry date of November 5, 2020.

The CFIA says if you have the affected formula in your home, you should throw it out or return it to the store where purchased.
