Auditor General Says Only 46 Percent of 2016 Recommendations Completed

Provincial Auditor General Michael Pickup says only 46 per cent of the recommendations from performance audits his office did in 2016 have been completed.

Pickup’s March report is a follow-up of 2015 and 2016 recommendations made in 16 performance audits.

Pickup says the government still has to address 32 remaining recommendations from the audits.

However, he says he’s pleased by the 87 per cent completion rate for the recommendations from 2015.

He says seven government organizations have completed all of their promised actions.
