Attempted Murder Charge Laid In Eskasoni Stabbing

Eskasoni RCMP have charged a man with attempted murder after a stabbing in the community early Sunday morning.

The Mounties say they got called to a stabbing at a home on Pine Street shortly before 5:30.

They say a 43-year-old man stabbed a woman multiple times before running from the home.

Police say the woman suffered life-threatening injuries.

Elvis Errol Janssens is also facing counts of Assault with a Weapon, Assault, Uttering Threats and Mischief and is due in Sydney Court tomorrow morning.
