Atlantic Border Restrictions Easing Next Week

Premier Iain Rankin says the province is lifting its border restrictions and opening to the rest of Atlantic Canada on Wednesday of next week.

At that time, people from New Brunswick, PEI and Newfoundland and Labrador can travel to Nova Scotia without having to quarantine for 14 days.

The announcement comes as the province prepares to enter the second phase of its reopening plan tomorrow.

The province also says conversations continue with the three other Atlantic premiers to coordinate their timing on when to open to the rest of the country.

The province says it’s now on track to do that by no later than July 14th.
