Arson Accused Due in Court, Today

Two men are due in court today after being charged in connection with 16 fires throughout the Florence and Bras d’Or areas.

Regional Police say 49 year-old Stephen Tremblett from North Sydney faces 12 charges of Arson.

24 year-old James Clayton MacDonald from Bras d’Or is charged with 16 counts of Arson.

Police say the pair was arrested after an intensive investigation that also involved the Fire Marshall’s Office.

They add their investigation is ongoing.

Tremblett and MacDonald were held at the Cape Breton Correctional facility overnight to await today’s court appearance.
