Armed Robbery At Sydney Wendy’s

Regional Police are looking for a suspect after an Armed Robbery at the Wendy’s Restaurant on Welton Street in Sydney, shortly before 1 o’clock this morning.

Police say a man got in through a rear door at the restaurant after threatening an employee who was putting out garbage with a knife.

They add, once inside he demanded money and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

There were six employees working inside the restaurant at the time but no customers.

No one was hurt in the incident but police say the employees were threatened by the man.

The suspect is described as white man with facial hair.

He was wearing a grey hooded sweater and track pants with white stripes on the side of the pants.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call them or crime stoppers.
