Appointments Open For Bivalent Vaccine

People in the province 65 and older can now book an appointment for Moderna’s bivalent COVID-19 vaccine.

Appointments for people in that age group will be available starting Monday.

Public Health says appointments for fall doses will be available in the coming weeks to people, based on age.

It says people 18 and older who are eligible for their fall dose should get a dose of bivalent vaccine rather than the original vaccine.

The Moderna bivalent vaccine offers protection against the original strain of COVID-19 as well as Omicron variants.
