by Applications are now open for the province’s COVID-19 Paid Sick Leave Program.
The program is open to employers and self-employed workers and covers up to four sick leave days for up to a maximum of $160 a day.
The maximum payment over the 15-week period is $640 per worker.
The program covers workers who miss less than 50 per cent of their scheduled work time in a one-week period who need to isolate because of exposure, are a close contact, or because they’re experiencing symptoms or getting tested.
Workers could also qualify for going to a COVID-19 vaccine or booster appointment.
